Corporate Sustainability
ALU analyzes the context in which it operates to ensure compliance with applicable regulations — including those on the environment, prevention of pollution, and health and safety in the workplace for employees and collaborators. This is why the company always focuses on eco-sustainability and the safety of the materials used from the earliest stages of the design process.
Environmental Impact
Environmental Impact
Environmental impact is assessed across products and processes, taking the prospective life cycle into account. Where possible, ALU also involves its suppliers in protecting the environment, safeguarding employees, and complying with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
ALU has been certified according to UNI EN ISO 45001:2018 since 2012 (initially under BS OHSAS 18001) and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 since 2019.
Capabilities
Capabilities
ALU is strategically located in Northern Italy, close to the country’s main industrial hubs.
The Veneto region is known for its diverse and high-quality manufacturing network, enabling us to work with outstanding local partners.
From a logistical standpoint, our proximity to major airports and international ports helps us to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with transportation.
ALU also actively promotes sustainability among its suppliers by selecting local or certified partners, subject to a biannual qualification process.
Energy
Energy
100% of ALU’s electricity consumption comes from renewable sources. All offices and production areas benefit from high-quality natural lighting.
A company-wide relamping program was recently completed to reduce energy consumption, and we are currently working on the construction of a photovoltaic system for self-generation of electricity.
